Academics

The main reason to go to college is to get an education. Our chapter has a strong focus on ways to help the women in the chapter be successful in their classes. Each week a sister is expected to complete study hours, depending on your GPA is depending how much hours are needed. It is advised to do more study hours though and not pay attention to the minimum need.

A study buddy is one way this chapter tries to influence each woman to do better. A study buddy is having a sister help you along the way with each of your classes and it also helps create a bond with a sister who is the same major as you. We also do several things to motivate our sisters also to help them get better grades.

Another thing we like to do each month is something we like to call "study activities". These activities include things like doing homework at the library, getting help from a professor, or even making a planner to keep track of school work.

Not only is there motivation to finish strong but there is also motivation to start strong and stay strong. At mid-terms, there is a midterm raffle with more prizes (make-up, gift cards, massages.. etc) and depending on your mid-term grades is how much raffle tickets a sister receives.
